Upgrading PS3 Harddrive

I plan on upgrading my PS3's harddrive for more space, faster loading-overall better performance. I was wondering if this HD would be compatible with the PS3:

Also, other suggestions are more than welcome.

Using that disk would change nothing about loading times, 5400RPM is the speed of the original disk used in the PS3 already. It's possible to use 7200RPM or even 10000RPM disks instead, but it's strongly not recommended because they heat up more and the PS3 isn't ventilated enough for that.

The only real alternative to improve a PS3 loading times without risking to make it overheat is to use a SSD (solid state drive), but they're really more expensive than a SATA disk for the same capacity.

I bought this for my ps3 on december:
http://www.samsung.com/global/business/ ... 40EVO.html

I bought the 250 gb version (well i planned to buy the 120 gb version but at the store they sold all of them ).
The price was around 180 euro maybe ? can't remeber the right price right now.
Loading times are much shorter right now;no more problem with odin, behemot and crowded fates.
