Retainer ventures, it's just like playing the lottery. Sometimes you win but most of the time you get fish. I'd love to know what some of the cool/crazy/awesome things your retainers have brought you are.

The best we've gotten are the Tonberry King rug and Illumination Module (to make it you need a Twintania drop). So I guess either the retainers are capable of beating turn 5, or they stole it, (they are Lalas).

Lvl 49 DoW armor, really, really *nice* lvl 49 DoW armor...and lots of bits of house.

I'm really loving my retainers. Sure I get fish every now and then but in recent days they have brought back 2 fine wax, a tonberry sofa and both the Black mage and White mage moogle weapons. Can't wait for them to reach level 50 so I can send them out on the longer missions.

Speaking of retainers, Lillianne brought me a Oasis window thing, idk what to do with it so should i stick it in the chest or just hang onto it?

If you like the look of it, hang on to it, many of those things may be useful with personal housing. If you place it in the chest (thank you if you do) I'll probably remove it to one of my retainers to keep the space in the chest free. I have a fair number of items on one of my retainers for the company house, most are things like windows and walls which we could use at some future time to re-model the exterior/interior - if ever we decide to remodel of course. There is also the possibility that we decide to upgrade - at a later date to a large house, if one is available at a price we like. At which time, we'll definitely be looking to use such things again.

i don't have any plans for it atm, so if you want me to send it your way Kos, just say the word.

Unless y'all are looking to move out of the neighborhood and into the Goblet, you won't get to use any Oasis windows, they're area locked, Oasis windows are only for the Goblet, Riviera only for Mist, and Glade only for the Lavender Beds.

Anyone got more experience with the level XIII 18 hour ventures yet? My Marauder retainer has brought me 2 Light Steel Plate so fare overall, while the Botanist has once brought a Weathered Tome (from a level XII venture).

Thinking the idea that DoW retainers = Light Steel and DoM Retainers = Taffeta might be spot on, but can't confirm anything yet.

Ah well, yet another lockout from SE, I wasn't aware that they locked those features, though I guess it makes sense since it prevents people from blending styles that were not intended to be blended.

When personal housing arrives I guess we'll have a yard sale of the bits and pieces we've collected that we cannot use in the Mist...

One of my retainers brought home the lvl 50 (ilvl 55) Fisher jacket last night.

The retainer was a lvl 39 Gladiator and this was a quick exploration venture.

In the past few days, beside the customary fish, our retainers have delivered a tonberry bed (already had one but can always use a spare for the "guest room"), a glazenut (that will save a bit of growing time), a bag of jute seeds (guess they're into gardening too) and lots of pvp gear. I love the quick ventures.
